Indo-US BPO Summit

Dear Friends,

On behalf of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (NIC), I am writing to you in reference to the past discus-sions on promoting ‘Brand India’ with specific focus on the BP() Industry; the big job creation opportunity for the nation. The Chamber, with active support from the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) and Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) has recently concluded the 1″ Indo-US BPO Summit – Leveraging the Power of Partnerships in the New Digital Age, March 29th-30th, 2016 in Orlando, Florida, US.

This is HISTORIC as for the first time in two decades the India BP() industry has been recognized as an independent identity having specific focus from the Government of India by your personal engagement which has sent a very strong and inspiring message. This is a gap that had persisted over the years and resulted in weakening the India BPO value proposition as compared to other competing geographies.

The Summit has killed the myth associated with the constant election year rhetoric in the US, which was an assumed fear over the past years. We are glad to share, this first of its kind event has been able to garner participation from:

• Over 20 global BPO leaders – representing “New India”as the sought after Outsourcing Destination
• Supported by the Government of India, exceedingly encouraging the intent
• Building brand resonance for ‘New India BPO’ as an independent entity
• 130+ attendees at the summit including the Government, Industry, Clients and Sponsors
• Over 6.4 mn reach, (number of viewers of the posts) & 14 mn impressions (number of times the post has been viewed) across Social Media.

This summit has been instrumental in inspiring confidence with Employees and Clients alike, which represent the two main pillars of the BPO industry, presenting it as an attractive proposition.

v
We really hope you and the other representatives from your organizations were able to take advantage of the multitude of activities throughout the conference. We especially appreciate your commitment towards this initiative in showcasing and re-affirming India as the pioneer outsourcing destination.

With so many people contributing towards this inaugural initiative in so many ways, we have been able to lay the foundation to take this effort forward, commissioning it into an annual property. Since we missed some of you at the last summit, we would like to take this opportunity to re-connect, as we are the custodians of the geography being presented as the business destination – India.

To define the way forward and jointly curate the next Summit, we look forward to your continued support and create a new benchmark for the BPO industry. Please feel free to give any suggestions, you may have.

With Warm Personal Regards,

Kashish Tyagi | Program Director | Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (NIC) | kashish.tyagi@iaccindia.com
